Hand Tied Bunting

I don’t often have simple projects on my blog, but today I’ll show you a quick and easy craft: a hand tied bunting, make from leftover fabric.

White. That’s my favorite go-to color as of late. This pretty toile fabric was leftover from a craft project that never happened. I love cool neutrals for fall, but especially love white.  Oranges and reds just don’t seem to work in my house, I just love blues and pale greens and will probably won’t deviate much from that.

Inventory: fabric and twine

I cut long pieces then laid the loop portion across a piece of twine, then tucked the loose ends through the loop. So easy! And it came together really quickly and I just kept going until all the fabric was used. If I were to do this over again I would alternate the length to give it more visual interest – but I love that there is no need for perfection here. I just cut off the straggling pieces to clean it up once it was finished. Just create a pop of something pretty in the house, and I can put it anywhere in the house I want — and not just for fall.

  3. This was a super fun and informative event. Lots of great ideas and tutorials, with so many talented people on one page. I hope to get around to trying some of these DIY’s. As far as your pumpkins go Jeanette, I found fake ones at Michaels and Hobby Lobby in the white but none of the pretty gray green ones. (My fave) Out here in Cali we have an OSH (Orchard Supply Hardware) They had real pumpkins in all those colors. Good luck.
